Several years back two people encountered one another via online. One of them was married--and she put up all the proper barriers to any relationship beyond friendship. The other was a guy who was young and basically stupid--he hadn't ever lived away from his parents and family and he'd never really been in love before.

They started out as friends. Over time they fell in love.

Of course it couldn't last. But during the time this man and woman shared themselves with one another, something wonderful happened.

They gained a priceless treasure that could never be stolen or lost. They peeked into each other's souls--and in the process became soulmates...

Years have passed. These two have lost touch with one another. Their real lives off line have taken them down separate roads. Nor do they ever 'see' one another online. The happy days when they were close are gone--but the spark that was there can never truly be extinguished...

This blog is a memorial to the love that existed between these two 'online lovers.'

But today when my wife April and I were talking, we decided to resurrect it!

I learned things from Deb that I'll never forget. I still think about her and talk about her, even though she's been out of my life for a number of years.

I wonder where she is and how she is. But even if we never interact again during our lives, I believe I'll see her again someday--in the world beyond this one.

The Object of this Journal

I plan to post reflections on love and life and growth in this journal. Because of the personal and intimate nature of some of these entries, much of what I post will be filtered to friends only. But feel free to friend debrajoy!

I'm sincerely interested in the thoughts of others about cyber relationships.
